Weekly AI report
Sent every Saturday 9:00 AM by email. Written by AI from the refreshed data, with links to each source. It summarises; it does not give buy or sell calls.
To: you · Attachment: Portfolio_Dashboard.xlsx
Quarterly fundamental review
Updated once a quarter after results season from free public sources (NSE/BSE results or free Screener.in company pages). Values below are sample figures to show the format only.
Thesis check
For each holding you write one line on why you own it. Each quarter the AI flags where the numbers moved against that line, e.g. "Owned for steady dividend, but payout fell for 2 quarters", and you decide what to do.
Ticker check
Done before building, as you asked. Every name is matched to an exact exchange symbol. Anything unlisted, an ETF, or unclear is flagged separately instead of assumed.
Note
Your brief says 30 holdings, but 29 names are listed. One may be missing, or one name may cover two lines. This would be confirmed with you first.
Setup, data sources & costs
Where the data comes from
- Prices: Excel's built-in Stocks data type (NSE/BSE, Microsoft 365). No website scraping. Each refresh writes a timestamp, and a line older than 1 trading day turns amber.
- Fundamentals: a Fundamentals sheet updated once a quarter from free public sources (NSE/BSE results, free Screener.in company pages). No subscription needed. The sheet flags any company due for an update.
- Announcements: NSE/BSE corporate filings, linked in each alert.
- Unlisted, new or uncovered names (NSE, SBI Funds): a manual price cell with the date you last updated it.
Weekly automation
- One click on "Weekly Report" (or a Saturday scheduled task on your PC) refreshes prices.
- The AI writes the summary from the refreshed sheets (optional).
- An email goes to you. If any refresh fails, you get an error email naming the step.
